Biography
Judy Johnson is regarded as a regional leader dedicated to building inclusive, resilient economies where communities thrive together. With more than 20 years of experience as an elected official, including service as mayor and council member of Plymouth, she has advanced policies that strengthen local governments, expand economic opportunity, and ensure diverse voices help shape regional decision-making.
Johnson has played a key role in advancing regional policy through leadership positions with the League of Minnesota Cities, Metro Cities, Transportation Advisory Board, and the Regional Council of Mayors. Through her work as president of the Wayzata West Metro Chamber and in prior roles with Prosperity's Front Door and GREATER MSP, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to business growth, workforce development, economic development, and prosperity across the metropolitan region and state.
She holds a bachelor’s degree with a focus in communications and public relations from Metropolitan State University. She is also a proud mother of four and grandmother of four.
