Community and Business Working Group (CBWG)

The METRO Blue Line Extension project has established the Community and Business Working Group (CBWG) in 2026 to serve as a voice for the community and businesses along the project corridor. The CBWG will advise the Corridor Management Committee (CMC) during the final stages of design through the beginning of construction of the light rail line.

The CBWG allows members of the former Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and Business Advisory Committee (BAC) to remain involved in the project after their commitments concluded following the completion of the federal environmental review process in 2025.

Members of the working group will provide comments and recommendations about specific and requested topics related to the project and engagement work. Membership in the CBWG is elective for previous members of the BAC and CAC or individuals recommended by previous BAC and CAC members. Meetings will commence in March 2026 and be held quarterly and as requested by work group members.

The members of the CBWG represent the diverse community interests and commercial stakeholders along the Blue Line Extension corridor. Members are appointed for a two-year term.
