Comment on draft ADA transition plan

Date: Tuesday, January 21, 2020

The Met Council has completed a comprehensive self-evaluation of the accessibility of its services and facilities, as required by the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

We worked with JQP Inc. in 2019 to conduct site reviews of all public and support facilities, including office buildings, park-and-ride facilities, transit centers, wastewater treatment plants, and light rail stations.

In addition to evaluating facilities, we held several listening sessions with people who have disabilities and surveyed several hundred staff and community members for input.

The results of this work are used to create a required ADA transition plan that documents actions that will be taken to remove barriers. This plan will be updated annually. Review the Draft ADA Transition Plan (PDF).
