Metro Plant Steam System Improvements And Turbine Rehabilitation Project
Project Description
This project rehabilitates the existing steam turbine generator and makes improvements to the steam system in the solids management building to increase availability and to extend service life. The project scope items are summarized below.
- Installs new generator, controls, and steam turbine components (by Siemens Energy under a separate contract with the Council).
- Modifies existing turbine steam piping.
- Installs instrumentation to monitor turbine, boiler feedwater, and steam.
- Installs additional boiler feedwater treatment.
- Installs vibration reduction system on structure.
