Project Description
The Metro Plant Solids Management Building control room, conference room, offices, and operator workstations are 20 years old and in need of ergonomic, performance monitoring, and work environment improvements. The proposed project scope items are summarized below.
- Solids Management Building
- Control Room – Conversion of the current conference room into the new control room.
- Conference Room – Conversion of the current control room into the conference room.
- Offices – Upgrades to three offices and business unit coordinator office.
- Operator Workstations – Upgrades to centrifuge operator workstation.
- Satellite Operator Workstations
- Upgrades to ash loadout operator workstation.
- Demolition of existing and construction of new sludge storage operator workstation.
- Demolition of existing floatation thickening operator workstation.

Project Schedule
Notice to proceed was issued on July 11, 2025.
Substantial completion of the project is tentatively scheduled for spring of 2027, with final completion following in summer of 2027.
